Sub-varsity teams fair well over the weekend.....

The sub-varsity teams played in tournaments this past weekend and made a great showing. 
The JV team took home 1st place at the John Paul II Tournament in Plano.  While the Freshman A team got 3rd place in the Keller Central A Team Tournament.  The B Team also played well, as they took 5th place in the Keller B Team Tournament. 
An excellent showing by our Sub-varsities.

Red-White Dinner Following Nov. 9th Scrimmage

Parents,
Please see the attached invitation - and, registration - for our annual Red-White Dinner to kick off our 2010-2011 season for Creekview basketball!
It will follow the scrimmage next Tues, Nov 9th.
Please note it is only $2 for your son (player) to attend. The remaining family members are free.
The main course and refreshments will be provided ... each family is asked to bring a side dish to help out.
Please email me with the player attending - along with the # from your family attending. And, then follow up with mailing the form and check. This will help us ensure enough food, etc for everyone.

Former Player Named to Texas A&M Corp Basketball Team

Ethan Pagel,
A 2009 graduate and former Mustang basketball player was named to the 2010-2011 Texas A&M Corp of Cadets Basketball Team. 54 players tried out and Ethan was one of 15 named to the team. Congrats to Ethan for the accomplishment!!

Aubrey Ball Signs!!!

Over the weekend Aubrey Ball, a senior member of our basketball team, committed to play basketball at the University of Central Arkansas on a full athletic scholarship. Please be sure to congratulate him on this wonderful accomplishment.
As a senior, Aubrey was a unanimous 1st Team All-District selection leading the Mustangs to a school record 22 wins.

A Special Thanks...

The Creeview Boys' Basketball program would like to thank our fans and supporters for another great year.  This year saw the Mustangs reach new heights.  The Varsity Mustangs placed first in the Allen Tournament.  They also were ranked at one point in the season as #9 in the Area among 5A basketball teams.  The Mustangs also broke the record of victories in a season with 22.  Their season record was 22-11.

Again thanks for the support and keep a look out for more information soon.  Spring leagues are right around the corner!!!

'BLACK OUT" the Rangers tomorrow night, 2/23

Tomorrow night is the playoff game between the Mustangs and the Namaan Forest Rangers.  Come out and cheer your Mustangs on.  Wear all black and help us "black out" the Rangers.  Gametime is 7:30 at Plano Senior High Gym.

The Creekview Mustangs will represent District 9-5A as the #2 seed in the Texas 5A Boys High School Basketball Playoffs.  The Mustangs will face Garland Naaman Forest High School in the Bi-District round.  The game is set for Tuesday, February 23rd at Plano Senior High School at 7:30pm.

Come out and support the Mustangs on their quest for the Gold!!!

Seniors Honored vs. Richardson, Tomorrow Night, 2/15

Mustang Basketball will honor the Seniors tomorrow night vs. Richardson at the Creekview Gym.  Gametime is 7:30.   Seniors and their parents will be honored prior to tipoff.

Feeder School Night Tonight, 2/9

Not only is tonight a big game for the Mustangs, against Skyline, it is also Feeder School Night at the Mustang Gym.  We will recognize our Middle School teams, Blalack and Long prior to the start of the Varsity game.  Come out and support your Mustangs, Bears, and Falcons!!!!

Big Win on Friday!!!

The Mustangs made the District 9-5A playoff race a little more heated on Friday.  Creekview beat Berkner, ranked #17 in 5A, on Friday in double overtime 77-71.  With the win, the Mustangs are a game behind Berkner for 1st place and in sole possession of 2nd place.

Creekview takes on Sunset tommorrow night at home.  Games start at 5:30.

All boys' teams will be playing at Richardson High School tonight.  Game times are as follows: 9th A 5:30, JV 6:00, 9th B 6:45, Varsity 7:30.  Freshman games are played in the secondary gym.

Pivotal Game tonight for Mustangs

Tonight the Mustangs take on the Lake Highlands Wildcats at home.  Gametime is 7:30.  Come out and support the Mustangs on their quest for a district championship!!!  Creekview is currently in 2nd place in district 9-5A, while Lake Highlands is tied for third with Richardson.

Varsity takes 3rd in Plano Tournament!!

The Varsity took 3rd place in the Plano Wildcat Classic over the Holiday break.  The Mustangs defeated North Mesquite and Lewisville to reach the Semifinal.  However the Mustangs lost a close game to eventual tournament champion Jesuit.  The Mustangs claimed 3rd with a big win over host team Plano, making their season tournament record 10-2.  Reggie Sonnier and Aubrey Ball both made the all-tournament team, representing the Mustangs.

Make sure to attend Tuesday's district game at Sprague Fieldhouse agains Sunset.
