Varsity Results in Allen Tournament

In the third round of the Allen Holiday Tournament, the Creekview Boys’ Varsity basketball team played well but ran into a red-hot shooting McKinney team. Despite fighting back from a double digit deficit, Creekview fell short by a score of 78-72. Leading scorers for the Mustangs were DeAndre Abram with 29 points, Micaiah Livingston with 20, and Larry Hughes and Desmond Funches with 10 points. The varsity record is now 7-6. Creekview will conclude the tournament tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 vs. Frisco Wakeland.


Varsity Opens Allen Holiday Tournament

The Carrollton Creekview Boys’ Varsity basketball team opened play in the 2014 Allen Holiday Tournament yesterday. In the first round game, Creekview lost a heart-breaking 1 point game to highly regarded Frisco Heritage. The final score was 47-46. Leading scorers were Desmond Funches with 15 points and DeAndre Abram with 11.

                In the second game late last night, Creekview bounced back and defeated state-ranked private school St. Marks by a score of 50-42. Leading scorers were DeAndre Abram with 22 points and Augustine Ene with 12. The Mustangs will continue tournament play this afternoon at 4:15 against McKinney. The varsity overall record is 7-5.

JV Mustangs place 2nd in Creekview Classic

The Creekview Mustang JV basketball team placed second in the Creekview Classic Tournament this past weekend. The Mustangs defeated Keller Fossil Ridge on Thursday, Prosper on Friday, and fell in overtime by a score of 45-44 in the championship game on Saturday. The finals were played against a very good Mesquite Poteet team that had defeated the Mustangs earlier in the week by 20 points. The JV record is now 9-4.

                The freshman Mustangs also competed in the Creekview Classic. Despite losing the first two games to Euless and Prosper, the freshmen came back strong on Saturday and defeated Richardson by over 20 points. The freshman record is now 4-5 overall. All three Creekview teams travel to McKinney North on Friday.

CFB ISD Classic Final Day Results

The Creekview Mustangs Boys’ Varsity basketball team concluded the CFB ISD Classic Tournament with a 54-35 win over Forney. Leading scorer was DeAndre Abram with 20 points. DeAndre was also named to the All-Tournament team. Also scoring in double figures were Micaiah Livingston and Zuri Davis with 10 points each. The varsity overall record improves to 6-2. All three Creekview basketball teams will play at Mesquite Poteet on Tuesday.

CFB Classic 2nd Round Results

The Creekview Mustang Boys’ Varsity basketball team gave a valiant effort tonight at home against the Hebron Hawks, the state’s 6th ranked 6A team in the second round of the 2014 CFB ISD Classic. However, a shot at the buzzer by the Mustangs failed to fall, and Hebron won by a final score of 55-52. Leading scorers were DeAndre Abram with 22 points and Desmond Funches with 11. The varsity record now stands at 5-2. The Mustangs will conclude the tournament tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 against Forney at Newman Smith High School. 

CFB Classic Tournament Results Day 1

The Creekview Mustang Boys’ Varsity Basketball Team opened the CFB Classic with a first round win at home vs. WT White by a score of 72-44. Leading scorers were DeAndre Abram with 25 points and Desmond Funches with 10. The varsity record improves to 5-1. The Mustangs will play state-ranked Hebron at home tomorrow night at 8:00 in the second round.


                The JV played a first round tournament game in the Southlake JV Invitational and defeated the Carroll 2 team 49-23. Leading scorer was Aaron Davis with 18 points. Their next game is 10:00 am tomorrow vs. the winner of Frisco Centennial and Haltom.

Mustangs Defeat Wylie

The Creekview Mustang Varsity Boys basketball team went on the road this evening and defeated the previously undefeated Wylie Pirates by a score of 52-37. It was a great overall team effort by the Mustangs , especially on the defensive end. Leading scorers were Desmond Funches with 26 points and DeAndre Abram with 10. The varsity record improves to 4-1 with the annual CFB Classic Tournament this weekend starting on Thursday. The Mustangs will play WT White at home in the first round starting at 8:00.
                In the JV game, Creekview beat Wylie by a score of 66-52, improving their record to 4-1. Leading scorers were Aaron Davis with 15 points, Ben Long with 14, and Cameron Ardoin with 13. The JV will next play in the Southlake Carroll Tournament on Thursday-Saturday.

                The freshman Mustangs lost their game to Wylie by a score of 55-35. Jarien Arnold, Trenten Lee, and Marquell Phillips all scored 6 points to lead the freshmen in scoring. Their record now stands at 3-2. The freshman team will be off until next Tuesday at Mesquite Poteet.

Results vs. The Colony

The Creekview Mustang Varsity basketball team suffered their first loss of the year on the road to The Colony 52-39. Leading scorer for Creekview was DeAndre Abram with 11 points. Micaiah Livingston added 9. The varsity record now stands at 3-1.
                The JV Mustangs led from the start and coasted to a 63-46 win over The Colony. Leading scorers were Nate Bady and Hayden Ellis with 14 points. Dorian Stratford added 12. The JV record improves to 3-1.
                The freshman Mustangs came back from a first half deficit to win a tough one versus The Colony  HS  59-52. The Mustangs were led by D’Emrik  Bradford-Thomas and John Hughes with 13 points. The freshmen improve to 3-1 on the year.

                All three teams will travel to Wylie on Tuesday.

Mustangs Defeat RL Turner

The Creekview Mustang Varsity basketball team continued its good start to the season by defeating RL Turner at home today 53-30. Leading scorer for the Mustangs was DeAndre Abram with 16 points. Desmond Funches added 11. The varsity record now improves to 3-0.
                In the JV game, the Mustangs won by a score of 66-44. Cameron Ardoin led the team in scoring with 17 points followed by Brailon Cook with 15. The JV record is now 2-1.
                The freshman Mustangs came up with a win vs.  RL Turner. The Mustangs were led by John Hughes with 12 points. Jarien Arnold and D’Emrik Bradford-Thomas scored 11.  The freshmen  improve to 2-1 on the year.

                All three teams will play at The Colony next Saturday starting at 1:00.

Mustangs Defeat Frisco Independence

The Creekview Mustang Boys’ Varsity basketball team went on the road for the first time this year and beat Frisco Independence by a score of 81-53. Leading scorer for the Mustangs was DeAndre Abram with 26 points. Micaiah Livingston and Larry Hughes each scored 9 points. The varsity record now improves to 2-0.
                The JV Mustangs earned their first win of the year in a 75-29 win over Independence. Ben Long led the scoring with 20 points. Others scoring in double digits were Dorian Stratford with 12, Aaron Davis with 11, and Hayden Ellis with 10. The JV record now stands at 1-1.
                The freshman Mustangs fell to Independence by a score of 59-50.  The freshmen were led by D’Emrik Bradford-Thomas with 15 pts. Their record is now 1-1 on the year.

                All three teams play at home vs. RL Turner on Monday afternoon. The freshman game begins at 12:30 in the small gym, while the JV starts at 1:00 in the main gym followed by the varsity at 2:30.

Mustangs Win Season Opener

The Creekview Mustangs Varsity Boys Basketball team opened the 2014-2015 with a hard fought come from behind home victory over Little Elm by a score of 77-68. Despite playing with a lineup racked by injuries and newly installed players from football, the Mustangs showed tremendous heart and confidence in pulling out the win. Leading scorers for Creekview were DeAndre Abram with 25, Desmond Funches with 17, and Zuri Davis with 12. The varsity record now stands at 1-0.
                In the JV game, the Mustangs lost by a score of 76-60 after getting behind early but fighting back.  Dorian Stratford led the JV with 14 points and Hayden Ellis had 11.

                The Freshman Mustangs opened the season with a victory over Little Elm. The freshmen were led by a host of individuals as Jarien Arnold had 15 points, D’Emrik Bradford-Thomas had 14 and Trenten Lee scored 11. All three teams travel to Frisco Independence on Friday night.

The second round of freshman basketball tryouts will occur on Monday, November 10th at 7:15 am. All participants needs to have a physical on file and wear basketball shoes, athletic shorts, and a t-shirt with their name on the back.

Tryout Information for 2014-2015

Any player wanting to tryout for basketball for the 2014-2015 school year needs to get a physical before school starts. Forms are available on the Creekview website main page. Tryouts will begin on the second day of school for players in the basketball period. Any football player will try out after the football season is over.

Creekview Falls Despite Valiant Effort

The Creekview Mustang Boys’ Basketball team gave the # 8 team in the state all it could handle, but came up short against Frisco Heritage by a score of 56-51 in a bi-district round playoff game. The true Mustang heart was shown as Creekview battled back from a double digit deficit and had Heritage on the ropes. Leading scorer was DeAndre Abram with 23 points. The entire coaching staff is extremely proud of the improvement  and character these young men showed throughout the season.  Mustang basketball is here to stay!

Mustangs Advance to the State Playoffs!

The Creekview Mustangs Boys’ Basketball team advanced to the state playoffs by defeating North Forney in a play-in game by the score of 60-50. It was a close game throughout, but the Mustangs showed heart in the 4th quarter and pulled away for the win. Leading scorer for Creekview was Desmond Funches with 21 points. DeAndre Abram also scored in double figures with 12. Creekview’s record now improves to 13-14 for the season. The Mustangs advance to play the district 9-4A champion Frisco Heritage Coyotes in a bi-district playoff game. The game will be at Little Elm High School on Tuesday, February 18th at 7:30. GO MUSTANGS!!!

Play-In Game Tonight

The Creekview Mustangs basketball team will play a play-in game to advance to the state playoffs tonight versus North Forney. The game will start at 7:00 at Lake Highlands High School. Please come out to support the Mustangs in their quest for the playoffs.

Results vs. Newman Smith


The Creekview Varsity Boys’ Basketball team stormed back from a 20 point deficit going in to the 4th quarter, but didn’t have enough time left to overcome a 72-67 defeat. Leading scorer for the Mustangs was Desmond Funches with 18 points. Also in double figures were DeAndre Abram with 14, Ranjit Mason with 12, and Destin Ogueri with 11. The varsity overall record is now 12-14 and 8-6 in district. Creekview and North Forney are tied for the final playoff spot in District 10-4A, so there will be a play-in game on Friday at a site and time to be determined.

                In the JV game, the Mustangs ended the season with a 48-35 loss. Leading scorers were Keimone Davis with 10 points and Brendan Arnold with 8. The final JV record is 10-14 overall and an even 7-7 in district. Despite the loss, Coach Watson is extremely proud of the improvement the team made over the course of the season.

                In the freshman game, the Mustangs concluded an outstanding season with a 49-47 nail-biting win. Adrian Munoz led the scoring output with 20 points and Augustine Ene finished with 16. The win gives the team a stellar 19-4 overall record and 12-2 in district, earning them the district championship. Coach Elliott is extremely proud of the hard work these young men put into the season. The future is bright for Mustang basketball!

Mustangs Put on a Great Display on Senior Night


It was an outstanding Senior Night for the Creekview Mustang varsity basketball team as every player contributed in a 72-47 win. Leading scorer was Ranjit Mason with 19 points. DeAndre Abram and Jamal Jones scored 9 each. Playing their last game at home were Mason, Jones, Markcus Hardy, Will Romaine, and Destin Ogueri. The win improves the varsity overall record to 12-13 and 8-5 in district.

                In the JV game, the Mustangs were down by 12 points in the middle of the 3rd quarter and stormed back to pull out a 46-44 victory. Leading scorer was Jarmez Zuber with 15 points. Keimone Davis scored 11 and Brendan Arnold had 9. The JV record is now 10-13 overall and 7-6 in district.

                The freshmen also had a great performance in a 67-40 win. Augustine Ene led the Mustangs with 24 points. Adrian Munoz scored 16 and Aaron Davis chipped in 10. The freshman overall record is 18-4 and 11-2 in district.

                All three teams end the regular season Tuesday night at Newman Smith.

Creekview Results vs. North Forney


The Creekview Varsity Boys’ Basketball team avenged an earlier loss to North Forney with a dominating 61-29 home court victory tonight. Leading the Mustangs in scoring was Desmond Funches with 15 points. Also in double figures were Destin Ogueri and DeAndre Abram with 10 points apiece. The win moves Creekview to 11-13 overall and 7-5 in district.

                The JV also put together a great team win by a final of 55-41. Leading scorer was Keimone Davis with 16 points. Conner Brubaker and Brendan Arnold each had 10 while Carson Hudspeth scored 9. The JV overall record improves to 9-13 and an even 6-6 in district.

                The freshman team completed the sweep with a 55-33 win. Adrian Munoz led the team in scoring with 21 points and Augustine Ene had 13. The freshman record is now 17-4 and 10-2 in district.

                All three teams complete the home season against West Mesquite on Senior Night Friday.

Creekview Results vs. Terrell


The Creekview Varsity basketball team traveled to Terrell tonight and shot lights out on the way to a 64-32 win. The team made a total of 10 3’s. Leading the team in scoring was DeAndre Abram with 15 points. Tre Kidd had 12 while Destin Ogueri and Desmond Funches each scored 11. The win improves the varsity record to 10-13 overall and 6-5 in district.

                The JV put on a strong second half showing on the way to a 53-26 victory. Brendan Arnold, Keimone Davis, and Reynel Previlon all scored 8 points, while Conner Brubaker had 7. The JV record is now 8-13 overall and 5-6 in district.

                In the freshman game, Creekview held on to beat Terrell 31-24. Ben Long led the team with 10 points, and Aaron Davis scored 9. Their overall record is now 16-4 and 9-2 in district.

                All three teams play at home on Feeder Night Tuesday against North Forney in a big district matchup.

Results vs. Highland Park


The Creekview Mustangs Varsity found out how hard it is to play at Highland Park tonight as the 5th-ranked Scots started strong and won 62-47.  Leading scorer for the Mustangs was Destin Ogueri with 13 points while Jamal Jones added 10. The varsity district record is now 5-5 and 9-13 overall.

                The JV lost to Highland Park 73-35. Leading scorer was Conner Brubaker with 15 points. The JV record is now 7-13 overall and 4-6 in district.

                The freshman team battled hard but came out on the losing end of a 38-34 final. Leading scorer was Tyrike Rivers with 8 points. Their overall record is now 15-4 and 8-2 in district play.

                All three teams play at Terrell Friday night.

Mustangs Earn Big Win vs. Mesquite Poteet


The Creekview Mustang Varsity basketball team came out tonight vs. Mesquite Poteet and earned a much needed 51-42 victory. It was a total team effort by the Mustangs, avenging an earlier loss in the district season. Leading scorers for Creekview were Ranjit Mason with 16 points and Desmond Funches with 14. The win improves the Mustangs’ overall record to 9-12 and 5-4 in district.

                In the JV game, Creekview held on for a 36-33 win. Leading scorers were Keimone Davis with 15 points and Jarmez Zuber with 11. Elijah Dantzler sealed the victory with two clutch free throws. The JV record is now 7-12 and 4-5 in district.

                The freshman team continued their winning ways with a 43-28 victory over Poteet. Augustine Ene led the team with 10 points. The freshman record improves to 15-3 and 8-1 in district. All three teams play at Highland Park Tuesday night.

The Creekview Mustang varsity basketball team started the second half of district play with a resounding win against Forney. The final score was 53-28. Leading scorers were DeAndre Abram with 20 points and Destin Ogueri with 11. The varsity record improves to 8-12 overall and 4-4 in district.

                The JV team won in dominating fashion by a score of 40-21. Leading scorer was Keimone Davis with 24 points. The JV overall record is now 6-12 and 3-5 in district.

                The freshman started the second half of district with a 39-29 win. Leading scorers were Augustine Ene with 20 points and Aaron Davis with 10. Their overall record is now 14-3 and 7-1 in district.

                All three teams play at home vs. Mesquite Poteet Friday night.

Creekview Results vs. Newman Smith


The Creekview Mustang Varsity basketball team took on Newman Smith in the annual Coaches vs. Cancer game tonight. After leading in the first half, the experienced Smith team pulled away in the second half for a 58-43 win. Leading scorers for the Mustangs were DeAndre Abram with 20 points and Destin Ogueri with 8. The Creekview record is now 7-12 overall and 3-4 in district.

                The JV played extremely hard but lost 42-37. Leading scorers were Keimone Davis with 12 points and Brendan Arnold with 9. The JV overall record is 5-11 and 2-5 in district.

                The freshman team dominated Newman Smith with a great team effort and won 46-9. Their record now improves to 13-3 overall and 6-1 in district. All three teams start the second half of district Tuesday at Forney.

The Creekview Varsity Boys’ basketball team traveled to West Mesquite tonight, and after a close first half the Mustangs pulled away in the  third quarter on the way to a 68-46 win. Leading scorers were DeAndre Abram with 16 points, Destin Ogueri with 13, Jamal Jones with 12, and Desmond Funches with 9. The varsity record is now 7-11 overall and 3-3 in district.

                In the JV game, Creekview lost 69-53. Leading scorers were Keimone Davis with 13 points and Jarmez Zuber with 12. The JV record is now 5-10 overall and 2-4 in district.

The Creekview Boys’ Varsity Basketball team traveled to North Forney this evening and lost 51-43. Leading the Mustangs in scoring was Will Romaine with 14 points and DeAndre Abram with 9. The varsity record is now 6-11 and 2-3 in district.

                The JV lost to North Forney 55-36. Leading scorers were Carson Hudspeth and Keimone Davis with 7 points. The JV record is now 5-9 overall and 2-3 in district.

                After a slow start, the freshman team continued their dominance of district with a 53-28 victory. Adrian Munoz had 29 points and Aaron Davis had 9. The freshman record improves to 12-2 overall and 5-0 in district. All three teams travel to West Mesquite on Tuesday.

It was a dominating night for Creekview basketball as all three teams won convincingly. In the varsity game, the Mustangs got off to a fast start and cruised to a 66-27 victory. Scoring in double digits were DeAndre Abram with 13, Will Romaine with 11, Destin Ogueri with 11, and Ranjit Mason with 10. The varsity record improves to 6-10 overall and 2-2 in district.

                In the JV game, Creekview pulled away in the second half for a 62-20 win. Scoring in double digits were Keimone Davis with 22, Carson Hudspeth with 11, Brendan Arnold with 10, and Hayden Ellis with 10. The JV record improves to 5-8 overall, 2-2 in district.

                In the freshman game, the Mustangs won 53-41 giving them a 4-0 start in district and 11-2 overall record. The freshmen were led by Adrian Munoz with 17 pts. All three teams play at North Forney Friday night.
