Creekview Opens District Play with Loss to The Colony

The Creekview varsity boys’ basketball team went on the road at The Colony to open district and suffered a tough 52-46 loss. Leading scorers for the Mustangs were Nate Bady with 17 points, and Dorian Stratford and Augustine Ene with 11 each. The varsity is now 8-6 overall and 0-1 in district. The varsity is off until next Tuesday, December 27th at the Allen Tournament.
                The JV Mustangs opened district with a 55-52 loss to The Colony. Playing well for the JV were Tony Owens, Jarien Arnold, and Bo’Mari Bell. The JV overall record is now 5-7 and 0-1 in district.

                The freshman boys basketball team fell to The Colony by a score of 56-44. The freshmen were led by Christian Gonzalez with 9 points and Renzo Benitez with 8. The freshmen are now 6-3 overall and 0-1 in district play. The JV and freshman teams are off until January 3rd at Little Elm.

Creekview Sweeps Frisco Reedy

The Creekview varsity boys’ basketball team put on a dominating team performance tonight and beat Frisco Reedy 57-27. Leading scorers were Augustine Ene with 16 points, Nate Bady with 12, Dorian Stratford with 9, and D’Emrik Bradford-Thomas with 8. The win improves the varsity record to 8-5 overall on the year.
                The Mustang JV boys beat Frisco Reedy 58-51. Top players were Malcolm Bell with 16 points and Tony Owens with 10. The JV record is now 5-6 overall on the year.

                The freshmen team beat Reedy 50-44. Leading scorers were Renzo Benitez with 15 points and Marcus Gilder with 13. The freshman record is now 6-2. All three teams are off until next Tuesday the 20th  when district play opens at The Colony.

Creekview Sweeps Mesquite Poteet

The Creekview Varsity boys’ basketball team put together a solid team effort in 55-39 win over Mesquite Poteet. Scoring in double figures for the Mustangs were Augustine Ene with 20 points, Dorian Stratford with 11, and Nate Bady with 10. The win improves the varsity record to 7-5 overall.
                The Creekview  JV team battled back and forth and won in overtime over Poteet 45-43.  Outstanding players were Camron Burnett and Tony Owens. The JV record now stands at 4-3.

                The freshman team dominated Poteet 51-24. Leading scorers were Christian Gonzalez with 14 and Joseph Garza with 7. The freshman record improves to 3-1.  The freshman and JV play in the annual Creekview 9/JV Tournament this Thursday-Saturday, while the varsity is off until next Monday at Frisco Reedy.

Creekview Wins 3rd Place in CFB ISD Classic

The Creekview Varsity Boys basketball team bounced back from a tough early morning loss to McKinney North to defeat North Mesquite 51-33, earning 3rd place in the annual CFB ISD Classic Tournament. Nate Bady and Augustine Ene were named to the All-Tournament team. All three Creekview Boys’ basketball teams will play at home against Mesquite Poteet on Tuesday.

Creekview Opens CFB Classic with Win

The Creekview Varsity Boys’ basketball team opened the CFB Classic Tournament at home with a 67-35 victory over Bishop Dunne. Scoring in double digits for the Mustangs were Zavier Ramirez with 16, Ben Long with 12, Nate Bady with 11, and Augustine Ene with 11. The win evens the varsity overall record at 4-4. The Mustangs will play Irving Nimitz tomorrow in the second round at 8:00 at Creekview.

Creekview Loses Heart-breaker to Rockwall Heath

Playing short-handed against the 20th ranked 6A team in the state and down 16 at one point in the 2nd half, the Creekview Varsity Boys’ basketball team battled back but lost a heartbreaking buzzer beater to Rockwall Heath 65-64. Scoring in double digits for the Mustangs were Dorian Stratford with 19, Zavier Ramirez with 12, Ben Long with 11, and Nate Bady with 10. The loss brings the varsity record to 3-4 overall. The varsity will open the CFBISD Classic Tournament on Thursday against Bishop Dunne at 8:00 at Creekview.
                In the JV game, Creekview came up short to Heath 75-65. Top players were Jarien Arnold and Darrick Dillon. The JV record falls to 2-1 and they will play in the Prosper JV Tournament starting on Thursday.

                The freshmen Mustangs lost to Heath 66-48. Leading scorers were Marcus Gilder with 14 points and Isaac Burke with 13. The freshman record falls to 2-1. The freshman are off until next Tuesday at home vs. Mesquite Poteet.

Varsity Splits Two in First Day of Lone Star Tournament

The Creekview Varsity Boys’ basketball team competed in the Frisco Lone Star Tournament today and split two games. In the first game against the host school Lone Star, shots weren’t falling for the Mustangs in a 46-35 loss. Leading the team in scoring was Augustine Ene with 19 points. In the second game, Creekview bounced back with a 70-64 win over Mesquite Horn. Leading scorer was Dorian Stratford with 23 points. Nate Bady and Augustine Ene added 10, while Zavier Ramirez scored 9. The varsity record is now 3-1. The Mustangs will conclude the tournament tomorrow with games at 11:00 against Frisco Heritage and 3:30 against Lubbock Trinity Christian.

Creekview Sweeps Seagoville

All three Creekview Boys’ Basketball teams went on the road for the first time this year and each team came away with a big victory. In the varsity game, the Mustangs started slow but pulled away in the end for a 65-39 victory. Leading the varsity in scoring was Augustine Ene with 27 points. Nate Bady added 11 while both D’Emrik Bradford-Thomas and Tyriek Rivers scored 7. The win improves the varsity record to 2-0.
                In the JV game, Creekview won by a score of 55-30. Outstanding players were Jarien Arnold, Luke McPherson, and Camron Burnett. The JV also starts the season with a 2-0 record.

                In the freshman game, the Mustangs dominated Seagoville with a 50-27 win, improving their record to 2-0. Christian Gonzalez led the team in scoring with 15 points. The JV and freshmen teams are off until November 29th at Rockwall-Heath, while the varsity will compete in the Frisco Lone Star Tournament on Monday and Tuesday next week.

Creekview Sweeps North Dallas in Season Opener

All three Creekview Boys’ basketball teams opened the season with victories over North Dallas. In the varsity game, the Mustangs started slow but kicked it in to high gear with an eventual 76-47 win. Leading scorer was Augustine Ene with 24 points. Also scoring in double figures were Ben Long with 12 points and Zavier Ramirez with 11.
                The JV Mustangs started the season out with a 64-51 win over North Dallas. Leading scorers for the Mustangs were Jarien Arnold with 12 points and Tony Owens with 10.

                The  freshman team opened the season with a 59-39  victory. The freshmen were led by Christian Gonzalez with 10 and Jack Parker with 9 and there were a host of other Mustangs that chipped in for the win. All three teams are 1-0 on the season and will play at Seagoville next Friday.

Freshman and JV Tryouts

The second round of freshman tryouts will occur on Monday, November 7th at 7:30 am. The second round of JV tryouts will occur that same day at 5:00 pm. In order to be eligible to try out, participants must have a physical on file with the athletic office or bring a completed one to the tryouts. In addition, participants must have passed all classes at the report card period and have a clean discipline record.

Kidd and Livingston Chosen to NTBCA All-Star Game

Seniors Tre Kidd and Micaiah Livingston have been chosen to play in the annual North Texas Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Game. The game will be played on Saturday, May 7th at 2:00 pm at Hebron High School.

Creekview Ends Season with Valiant Effort

The Creekview varsity boys’ basketball team ended their season with an extremely hard fought 66-62 defeat at the hands of West Mesquite, the 9th ranked team in the state in the Bi-District round of the 5A State Playoffs.  Leading scorer for the Mustangs was Augustine Ene with 34 points. Ben Long scored 9 and Nate Bady had 8. Creekview ended the year with a third consecutive playoff appearance for the first time in school history and a 17-12 overall record.

Creekview Results vs. Hillcrest

The Creekview Varsity Boys’ basketball team concluded the regular season with a 45-35 loss to Hillcrest. Leading scorer was Keimone Davis with 13 points. The varsity record is now 17-11 overall and 10-4 in district. The Mustangs will play in the first round of the 5A Playoffs next Monday or Tuesday against an opponent and venue yet to be determined.
                The JV Mustangs ended their season with a loss to Hillcrest 41-30, finishing the season with a 8-17 record overall and 6-7 district record.  The outstanding players were Bill Diop, Jaelen Boisseau, Rocky Fraid and D’Emrik Bradford-Thomas. 

                The freshman Mustangs finished their season off with a win by a score of 45-28 over Hillcrest. The leading scorers were Camron Burnett with 9 points and Tony Owens with 7 . The freshman Mustangs finish the season 15-10 overall and 12-2 in the district.

Creekview Beats Conrad

The Creekview varsity boys’ basketball team defeated Conrad tonight by a score of 39-33. Leading scorer was Micaiah Livingston with 10 points. Augustine Ene scored 9. The win improves the varsity overall record to 17-10 and 10-3 in district play.
                The JV Mustangs lost to Conrad 44-40. Their district record is now 6-6 and 8-16 overall.  The outstanding players tonight were Bill Diop, Marquell Phillips, and Jonathan Arce.

                The freshman Mustangs won tonight by a score of 40-36 over  Conrad. The leading scorer was Camron Burnett with 10 points. The freshman are  15-10 overall and 11-2 in the district. All three teams will conclude the regular season on Tuesday against Hillcrest at Loos Field House.

Creekview Loses to Smith in Overtime

The Creekview Mustang Boys’ basketball team played another classic game against Newman Smith, but fell short in overtime by a score of 54-48. Leading scorers were Augustine Ene with 11 points, Micaiah Livingston with 10, and Nate Bady with 9. The varsity record is now 16-10 overall and 9-3 in district play.
                JV Mustangs avenges their loss from the first meeting against Smith, winning 37 -29.  The JV Mustangs continue to be a second half team, only allowing 12 total points and scoring 21 in the process.  The outstanding players were Bill Diop, Marquell Phillips and Jonathan Campbell.  The JV is now 6 -5 in district play and 8-15 overall. 

                The freshman Mustangs lost  tonight by a score of 47-31 to Smith. The leading scorer was Luke McPherson with 12 points.  The Freshman Mustangs are  14-10 overall and 10-2 in the district.

Creekview Beats Woodrow Wilson!

The Creekview Mustang boys varsity basketball team avenged an earlier district loss to Woodrow Wilson with a resounding 64-41 win tonight. Leading scorers were Micaiah Livingston with 16 points, Augustine Ene with 14, Tre Kidd and Keimone Davis both with 12, and Nate Bady with 8. The win improves the varsity overall record to 16-9 and 9-2 in district.
                The JV Mustangs lost to Woodrow Wilson 45-33. Outstanding players were Jaeden Boisseau, Bill Diop, and Rocky Fraid.  The JV is now 5-5 in district play and 7-15 overall. 

                The freshman Mustangs defeated Woodrow Wilson tonight by a score of 24-18. The leading scorer was Camron Burnett with 7points. The Freshman Mustangs are  14-9 overall and 10-1 in the district. All three teams play at home on Senior Night versus Newman Smith Tuesday.

Creekview Sweeps Thomas Jefferson, Clinches Playoff Spot

The Creekview Mustang varsity basketball team clinched a spot in the Class 5A playoffs with a 66-37 win over Thomas Jefferson. Leading the team in scoring was Augustine Ene with 21 points. Micaiah Livingston added 11, Conner Brubaker scored 9, and Tre Kidd had 8 Points. The win improves the varsity record to 15-9 overall and 8-2 in district.
                After being down at the half the JV Mustangs held Thomas Jefferson’s JV to 8 points for the entire half, holding them to 19 percent shooting and forcing 15 turnovers.  The final score was 53-32.  With this victory the JV’s district record improves to 5- 4 and 7-14 overall. D’Emrik Bradford-Thomas led the team in scoring with 20 points, while Jonathan Arce scored 10.

                The freshman Mustangs defeated Thomas Jefferson by a score of 58-20. The leading scorer was Bo’Mari Bell with 17points.  The freshman Mustangs are  13-9 overall and 9-1 in the district. All three teams travel to Forester Field House to take on Woodrow Wilson Friday night.

Creekview Sweeps Bryan Adams

The Creekview Mustang varsity boys basketball team went on the road tonight against Bryan Adams and won by a score of 63-46. Scoring in double digits were Micaiah Livingston with 16 points, Augustine Ene with 13, Tre Kidd with 12, and Ben Long with 10. The win improves the varsity overall record to 14-9 and 7-2 in district.
                The JV Mustangs defeated  Bryan Adams 48-34, improving their district record to 4-4 and 6-15 overall.  The outstanding players were Jonathan Campbell, Malcolm Bell, D’Emrick Bradford-Thomas, and Rocky Fraid. 

                The freshman Mustangs defeated Bryan Adams by a score of 61-35. Adelston Canady scored 17 points, Darrick Dillon scored 15, and Camron Burnett added 10.  The freshman team is now 12-9 overall and 6-1 in the district. All three teams play at home Tuesday night versus Thomas Jefferson.

Mustangs Defeat North Dallas

The Creekview Mustang varsity basketball team won their 3rd district game in a row with a 61-53 win over North Dallas. Leading scorer was Tre Kidd with 18 points. Nate Bady added 14 and Micaiah Livingston scored 10. The varsity overall record is now 13-9 and 6-2 in district.

                The JV avenged a first round district loss to North Dallas with a 55-43 victory. Malcolm Bell, Johnathan Arce, and Bo’Mari Bell were outstanding players in the game. The JV overall record is now 6-14 and 4-4 in district. All three Creekview teams will play Bryan Adams at Forester Field House Friday night.

Creekview Beats Hillcrest

In a game slowed down in tempo by Hillcrest, the Creekview Varsity boys’ basketball team showed patience, discipline, and outstanding defense in achieving a 46-34 team win to complete the first round of district play. Leading scorer was Augustine Ene with 13 points. Tre Kidd and Micaiah Livingston each scored 7 in the victory. The win improves the varsity’s overall record to 12-9 and 5-2 in district play.
                In the JV game, the Mustangs came up short to Hillcrest by a score of 54-37. Johnathan Arce led the JV in scoring, whose overall record is now 5-14 overall and 3-4 in district.

                The freshman Mustangs defeated Hillcrest by a score of 45-12. The leading scorer was Bo ‘Mari Bell with 11 points. Tony Owens contributed 8 points in the victory. The freshman team is now 10-9 overall and 6-1 in district. The JV and varsity will begin the second round of district against North Dallas at Cobb Field House on Tuesday.

The Creekview Varsity boys basketball team bounced back from a tough week with a 68-44 victory over Dallas Conrad. The leading scorer for the Mustangs was Micaiah Livingston with 14 points. Tre Kidd and Conner Brubaker added 8 each. The win improves the varsity record to 11-9 overall and 4-2 in district play.
                The JV Mustangs lost to Conrad by a score of 57-43. Leading scorer was Jonathan Arce with 12 points. Malcolm Bell and Bill Diop scored 8 apiece. The JV record is now 5-12 overall and 3-3 in district.

                The freshman Mustangs beat Conrad tonight 64-30. The freshmen were led by Tony Owens with 13 points and Darrick Dillon with 11. All three teams play at home vs. Dallas Hillcrest on Friday.

In a great game between cross-town rivals, the Creekview varsity basketball team lost a heartbreaker to Newman Smith 46-44 in overtime. Leading scorers were Tre Kidd with 15 points, Nate Bady with 11, and Micaiah Livingston with 10. The varsity record is now 10-9 overall and 3-2 in district.
                In the JV game, the Mustangs fought hard but came up short to Smith by a score of 65-53. Their record is now 5-12 overall and 3-2 in district. Jonathan Arce led the scoring with 16 and Bill Diop scored 13 points and had 9 rebounds.
                The freshman Mustangs lost to Smith by a score of 47-38. Leading scorer was Bo’Mari Bell with 11 points. Ali Kabani added 9. All three teams are home against Conrad Tuesday night.

Creekview Sweeps Thomas Jefferson

The Creekview Mustang varsity boys basketball team continued district play with a 49-23 win over Thomas Jefferson. Leading scorers were Micaiah Livingston with 10 points and Augustine Ene with 9. The win improves the varsity overall record to 10-7 on the season and 3-0 in district play.
                The JV Mustangs won by a score of 49-39 over Jefferson. Jarien Arnold scored 22 points to lead the JV, while Bill Diop added 8. The JV overall record now stands at 4-11 and 2-1 in district.

                The freshman basketball team completed the sweep with a 35-8 win. Leading scorer was Darrick Dillon with 11 points. The freshman district record is now 2-0. All three teams play at home on Tuesday versus Woodrow Wilson in the annual Coaches’ vs. Cancer game.

The Creekview Mustang boys’ varsity basketball team continued district play with a 63-33 win over Bryan Adams. Leading scorers for Creekview were Micaiah Livingston with 17 points, Tre Kidd with 13, and Carson Hudspeth with 8. The win improves the varsity overall record to 9-7 and 2-0 in district.
                The JV Mustangs defeated Bryan Adams by a score of 48-35. Scoring in double figures were Marquell Phillips with 17 and Jarien Arnold with 13. The JV is now 3-11 overall and 1-1 in district play.

                The freshman completed the sweep with a 52-29 victory. Leading scorer was Camron Burnett with 14 points. Darrick Dillon added 9. The freshman district record is now 1-0. All three teams play Thomas Jefferson at Loos Field House on Friday.
