The Creekview Varsity basketball team took on the undefeated
and state-ranked The Colony in a non-district afternoon contest today. In a
back and forth battle for 3 quarters, The Colony showed its senior-led
experience and pulled away for a 77-63 win. Leading the Mustangs in scoring
were Tre Kidd with 21 points, Augustine Ene with 15 points, and Ben Long with
10 points. The varsity record is now 2-2.
In the
JV game, The Colony won by a score of 63-46. Outstanding players were Jarien
Arnold with 16 points and 3 steals and Marquell Phillips with 9 points and 7
rebounds. The JV is now 2-2 for the season.
The
freshman Mustangs played well but came up short to The Colony by a score of
47-42. The freshmen were led by Darrick Dillion with 9 points and Camron
Burnett with 8. Their record is also 2-2. All three teams play at home vs.
Wylie Tuesday night.
