It was a rough night for the Carrollton Creekview Boys
Varsity basketball team as shots weren’t falling and Woodrow Wilson played
outstanding. Wilson defeated Creekview by a score of 65-39. Leading scorers were
DeAndre Abram with 16 points and Augustine Ene with 12. The varsity record
falls to 15-10 overall and 8-3 in district.
In the
JV game, the Mustangs stayed hot by defeating Woodrow Wilson 68-56. Ben Long
led the JV in scoring with 23 points. Also scoring in double figures were Nate
Bady with 16, Tyleke Glover with 11 and Brailon Cook with 10. Their record
improves to 20-5 overall and 11-0 in district play.
The
freshman Mustangs jumped out to a big lead over Woodrow Wilson and held on for
a 40-28 win. Darius Ellis led the Mustangs with 12 points and John Hughes had
11. The freshmen are 14 -7 overall and 7-1 in district. All three teams will
play at Newman Smith on Tuesday.
