The Creekview Varsity Boys basketball team put up a valiant effort at home
against Little Elm, the #3 ranked team in the state, but lost a heart-breaker
55-54. Leading the Mustangs in scoring was Augustine Ene with 15 points. Zavier
Ramirez also scored in double figures with 13 while both Ben Long and Nate Bady
scored 9. The loss drops the varsity overall record to 14-12 and 5-4 in
district play.
The JV boys defeated Little Elm by a score of 57-43. Top performers were Tony
Owens with 17 points, Bo'Mari Bell with 12, and Luke McPherson with 10. This
win improves their record to 8-10 overall and 3-5 in district.
The freshman Mustangs lost to Little Elm 52-39. The freshmen were led by
Marcus Gilder with 9 points.. The freshmen are 10-6 overall and 4-4 in
district. All three teams go on the road to play at Lake Dallas on Tuesday.
