The Creekview Mustang Boys’ Varsity basketball team went on
the road for the first time this year and beat Frisco Independence by a score
of 81-53. Leading scorer for the Mustangs was DeAndre Abram with 26 points.
Micaiah Livingston and Larry Hughes each scored 9 points. The varsity record
now improves to 2-0.
The JV
Mustangs earned their first win of the year in a 75-29 win over Independence.
Ben Long led the scoring with 20 points. Others scoring in double digits were
Dorian Stratford with 12, Aaron Davis with 11, and Hayden Ellis with 10. The JV
record now stands at 1-1.
The freshman
Mustangs fell to Independence by a score of 59-50. The freshmen were led by D’Emrik Bradford-Thomas
with 15 pts. Their record is now 1-1 on the year.
All
three teams play at home vs. RL Turner on Monday afternoon. The freshman game
begins at 12:30 in the small gym, while the JV starts at 1:00 in the main gym
followed by the varsity at 2:30.
