The Creekview Mustangs Varsity Boys Basketball team opened
the 2014-2015 with a hard fought come from behind home victory over Little Elm
by a score of 77-68. Despite playing with a lineup racked by injuries and newly
installed players from football, the Mustangs showed tremendous heart and
confidence in pulling out the win. Leading scorers for Creekview were DeAndre
Abram with 25, Desmond Funches with 17, and Zuri Davis with 12. The varsity
record now stands at 1-0.
In the JV game, the Mustangs lost by a score of 76-60 after getting behind
early but fighting back. Dorian Stratford led the JV with 14 points and
Hayden Ellis had 11.
The Freshman Mustangs opened the season with a victory over Little Elm. The
freshmen were led by a host of individuals as Jarien Arnold had 15 points,
D’Emrik Bradford-Thomas had 14 and Trenten Lee scored 11. All three teams
travel to Frisco Independence on Friday night.
