The Creekview Varsity Boys Basketball team ended the first
half of district with a come-from-behind 43-40 victory over Dallas Hillcrest.
After trailing most of the game, the Mustangs battled back with a strong 4th
quarter and finished with a big win. Leading Creekview in scoring was DeAndre
Abram with 10 points. Desmond Funches scored 9, while Zuri Davis and Augustine
Ene had 8 each. The win improves the varsity record to 12-9 overall and 5-2 in
district play.
The
Creekview JV team remained undefeated in district play with a 73-48 win over
Hillcrest. Leading the JV in scoring was Brailon Cook with 21. Nate Bady scored
12 points and Dorian Stratford had 11. The JV overall record now improves to an
impressive 16-5 and 7-0 in district.
The
Creekview freshman team dominated Hillcrest by a score of 82-31. The freshmen
were led by Dhanush Patel with 18pts. Marquell Phillips and John Hughes each
scored 15. The freshmen are now 10 -7
overall and 5-1 in district. The varsity and JV will host North Dallas on
Tuesday.
