The Creekview Varsity Boys’ basketball team traveled to West
Mesquite tonight, and after a close first half the Mustangs pulled away in the third quarter on the way to a 68-46 win.
Leading scorers were DeAndre Abram with 16 points, Destin Ogueri with 13, Jamal
Jones with 12, and Desmond Funches with 9. The varsity record is now 7-11
overall and 3-3 in district.
In the
JV game, Creekview lost 69-53. Leading scorers were Keimone Davis with 13
points and Jarmez Zuber with 12. The JV record is now 5-10 overall and 2-4 in
district.
The
freshman Mustangs suffered their first district loss with a 36-33 defeat.
Leading scorers were Augustine Ene with 11 and Tyriek Rivers with 9. The
freshman overall record is now 12-3 and 5-1 in district. All three teams host
Newman Smith on Friday in the annual Coaches vs. Cancer game.
