The Creekview varsity and JV basketball teams traveled to
take on cross-town rival Hebron tonight. The varsity gave the defending 5A
Regional Finalists all they could handle, but came up on the short end of a
50-42 score. Leading scorer for the Mustangs was Desmond Funches with 12
points. Tre Kidd, Destin Ogueri, and DeAndre Abram all finished with 8. Creekview’s
record is now 3-5.
The JV
lost to Hebron tonight 55-34. Leading scorer was Carson Hudspeth with 12
points, and Brendan Arnold had 7. The JV record is now 3-6. All three teams
open district Friday afternoon at home vs. Forney.
