The Creekview varsity boys’ basketball team traveled to
Mesquite Poteet in a district contest this afternoon and were defeated by a
score of 48-36. Leading scorer was Desmond Funches with 13 points. The varsity
record is now 5-9 overall and 1-1 in district.
The JV fell
behind in the first half early, and fought back to within single digits in the
second. However, Poteet went on to win by a score of 54-40. Leading scorers
were Keimone Davis with 19 points and Brendan Arnold with 13 points. The JV
record is now 4-7 overall and 1-1 in district.
The
freshman Mustangs beat Poteet for their 2nd district win. Leading
scorers were Adrian Munoz with 14 points and Aaron Davis with 13. The freshman
record improves to 9-2 overall and 2-0 in district. All three teams will host
Highland Park on Friday.
